Starting condition

Wind-turbine nacelles combine electrical cabinets, rotating equipment, lubricants, restricted access and long emergency-response distances. A fire can develop before ground teams reach the turbine.

Site constraints

Equipment vibration, airflow, compact cabinets, turbine-specific layouts and remote operation require each protected zone to be surveyed rather than treated as a generic room.

Engineering decision

The deployment uses distributed sensing at likely ignition locations, local suppression close to cabinet and nacelle hazards, and a dedicated control layer that reports device status to the wind-farm control room.

Execution process

  1. 01

Survey turbine model, cabinet arrangement and likely ignition points.

  2. 02

Divide the nacelle and cabinets into practical detection and suppression zones.

  3. 03

Install detectors and local extinguishing devices while preserving equipment access.

  4. 04

Route protected cabling and connect alarm, release and status-feedback signals.

  5. 05

Test each zone, verify the monitoring interface and record the commissioned configuration.

Inspection and commissioning

  • Detector and device position checked against the approved layout
  • Alarm, manual release and feedback functions tested
  • Control-cabinet communication and remote status display verified
  • Installation photographs and system drawings retained as the project record

Documented outcome

The field record confirms installed detection, suppression and control components across multiple nacelle zones. Taihe publishes more than 13,000 wind-turbine fire-protection installations as company-level engineering experience; this figure is not presented as the quantity of one project.

Project record and engineering details

Field photographs, application records and system drawings show the work from installed condition to technical detail.
